Elaine Pastor

Owner and President

Elaine Pastor immigrated to the United States from Peru in the 1970s and settled in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Her career in commercial cleaning began with a national janitorial provider, where she managed two industrial sites in Erie — all while attending school during the day. It's where she learned the work from the ground up, and it's still how CleanCo runs today.

Elaine's connection to the business goes back to Edinboro University, where she and her two sons were all students at the same time. She was studying biology, and for a couple of weeks one semester the three of them cleaned dorm carpets for extra money. They registered CleanCo LLC in 2014. Elaine graduated that same year, James in 2015, and Michael in 2017, and afterward the three went their separate ways.

Elaine moved into international business with Assure Group International, leading the firm's mineral acquisition division in South America and overseeing collection, processing, and international logistics for clients across the region.

When the pandemic upended the mineral trade, she came back to the work she'd started at Edinboro — something she never expected to do. Elaine brought CleanCo back to life in 2022, and it has grown from carpet cleaning into a full commercial and residential property services company serving Erie and Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Elaine still answers the phone. Clients deal with the owner, not a call center, and she brings the same standards to a two-room office that she brings to a two-story warehouse.
