An Erie, Pennsylvania native, Megan attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, studying pure

mathematics. She graduated with honors, attained her Pennsylvania teaching certification for grades 7 – 12 in math, and matriculated to the University of Akron to study pure mathematics. Simultaneous to pursuing her Master of Science degree in pure mathematics, she was

retained as an adjunct college math professor at a medical college and then Stark State University. She graduated with honors from the University of Akron and became double certified with a teaching certification for grades 7 – 12 in Ohio. Megan started teaching high school mathematics but returned to college-level mathematics education. She maintains a rental real estate portfolio and other business interests.
